Key events

According to the United Nations High Commission
for Refugee (UNHCR), some 69,561 ivorian refugees are living in Liberia as of 14 March.
As of March, WFP has been providing food assistance to some 33,800 refugees residing in
the 6 camps and 15 relocation villages. Refugees are expected to receive full monthly rations
to the exception of pulses which will be compensated with a double ration of CSB.
Over 54,011 Ivorian and Liberian children have participated in CFS structured activities in
Grand Gedeh, and Maryland Counties during the reporting period.
Funding for the Liberia 2012 CAP now stands at USD 9.2 million, representing 7.6 per cent of
the initial request of USD 121.6 million. Given the revision underway of beneficiary figures following
the 44 per cent reduction in refugee caseloads as announced by UNHCR, the total CAP
financial requirement is expected to experience a significant reduction as well.
